🌟 OCP Volunteer Leadership Spotlight: Meet Jabari George!

Meet Jabari George Mechanical Engineer & Principal Consultant, and Lead of the Door Heat Exchanger (HX) Sub-Project within OCP’s Cooling Environments.

Jabari has been an active OCP volunteer since 2018, contributing his expertise in advanced thermal management, liquid-cooling architectures, and data center facilities.

🔹 What is your role in the OCP Community?
Jabari focuses on lowering barriers to liquid-cooling adoption by helping develop open specifications, interoperable reference designs, and white papers that support higher rack power densities for next-generation IT.

🔹 Why do you volunteer your time to OCP?
Operating an engineering consultancy out of Trinidad and Tobago, Jabari sees OCP as a vital bridge connecting regional engineering expertise with global hyperscale innovation. He is passionate about advancing sustainable practices and cooling technologies that help the industry align on common architectures as AI workloads evolve.

🔹 What impact has OCP had on you professionally?
Through OCP, Jabari has collaborated with specialists and leaders at some of the world’s most innovative technology companies. What began as a resource for navigating early data center refurbishments in the Oil & Gas industry has evolved into opportunities to lead global data center initiatives.

He continues to be inspired by peers who bring genuine enthusiasm to solving complex challenges in fluid dynamics and heat transfer.

🔹 What are you most excited about right now?
Having witnessed two major industry shifts—the global pandemic and the rapid acceleration of AI—Jabari recognizes that meeting the evolving demands of modern data centers requires innovation across industries.

He is especially excited about how experts from different technical disciplines are coming together through OCP to advance open, interoperable infrastructure.

🔹 Something you may not know about Jabari?
Outside of engineering, Jabari is an avid trail runner, rock climber, and Ironman triathlete! He enjoys exploring unique natural landscapes wherever his international consulting work takes him.

In Jabari's Words:
“We are at the start of a fourth industrial revolution, and the decisions we make about data center infrastructure today will be felt for decades. That is an immense responsibility for engineers, and a privilege. Meeting it takes our best work and a radically open community willing to share insights, standardize interfaces and build interoperable solutions together.”

👏 Thank you, Jabari, for your leadership, expertise, and continued commitment to the OCP Community!
