As I understand that food "doesn't grow on trees", we as a society have tons of food that is wasted each day and could be contributed to those who need it.

The problem is only transfer, containment and laws that prohibit food companies just to give wastes to people who would gladly take them. Because they are afraid of lawsuits from people who can get food poison. If government would make laws easier less people would starve around food distribution areas.

Another problem with this: many people would just eat garbage wastes and stop working for it. We already at the risk of people just stop doing shit and evolve infrastructure because they are lost to inability to make things and feel needed by the system. And with "free food" at every restaurant and food court's end of the day we would just end up with tons of beggars who do not need eating fancy.

And yes. I know most of the talking points of socialists are "feeding the poor [X in Y] (where [X is negorids and Y is anywhere in third world shitholes]" but I say — fuck'em. You cannot fix them by feeding them for free.

When you feed cats or dogs from the streets you expect them to be friendly, to be usefull cute companions that you will befriend and pet and get someone who is excited to see you, but when you feed THESE humans who do nothing but "exist" you create expectations from them that you will do that forever for nothing in return.

That's where all this shit crumbles. Because socialists cannot understand that this all shit needed to be cultivated, gathered, prepared and moved by someone (not by them ofc) and nobody want to do that "just because".

This isn't even an exaggeration btw.

They genuinely believe scarcity is not real and the only reason things are scarce is because "the evil billionaires are hoarding all our precious resources".

It is literally impossible to strawman or hyperbolize socialists.

I liked only Boxtrolls and ParaNorman. Everything else was just a pretentions bullshit. Even Coraline was pretentions bullshit, and I do not understand why people constantly praise this film.
When I was in college 10 years ago, an independent stop motion director, who I'm not naming, went to give a speech on his upcoming project.

At the end of the conference I asked him "Hey, do you like any of the Laika movies?". He just said "No" and then left.
