OR Secretary of State's office

Did you know that, by law, election results are not official until weeks after Election Day? Accuracy takes time, & we don’t take any chances w/ the results of our elections. We follow a strict, rigorous certification process to keep Oregon’s election results secure & accurate.

Thousands of ballots get challenged and go uncounted every year – don't let yours be one of them. Check the status of your ballot at oregonvotes.gov/myvote. Voters have 21 days after election day to contact local elections officials and make sure their vote is counted.

The Oregon Secretary of State's office is closed today in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Voter registration support will still be available. We'll return Tues., Oct. 13th w/ regular business hours. You can contact our office at 503-986-1523 or oregon.sos@sos.oregon.gov.

Mark your calendars, Oregon! The 2026 General Election is right around the corner. Here are the key dates you need to know to make sure your vote gets counted.
