Update: I calculated Karl Marx's annual income based on his known jobs, inheritances, and recorded handouts that he received from friends like Engels.

A middle class income in Victorian England was about £200, which Marx met from the early 1850s onward.

As things stand now, JD Vance has the best shot to win the general election as any Republican currently thought of as GOP nominee contenders. He had the right position on the war from the beginning, was brave enough to correctly diagnose the causes of the midterm disaster (and use the I-word while doing so), and is the only one with the background and the populist bona fides to win the Rust Belt again, which will be absolutely essential.

You'll notice that both the left and the establishment, Israel-First right hate him with the passion of a thousand suns, and this is why.

Would you look at that.

It sure is funny how the NatCon types are so averse to even mentioning the T-word...

Yes. Exit polls repeatedly flagged tariffs as a major economic policy failure missing from that summary. Roughly two-thirds of voters said Trump’s tariff policies hurt the national economy (66%) and their local economy (64%), with only 14-21% saying they helped. Many linked them directly to higher prices for goods alongside the Iran war’s energy spike. Cost of living dominated overall, but tariffs stood out as a specific, measurable policy voters rejected.
