We @TheAR_Trust believes we must move beyond words to action. Invest in girls, stand up for their rights, and ensure that NO GIRL IS LEFT BEHIND!
Together, through collaboration and complementarity, we can build a brighter future for our girls, our nation, and Africa.

Today is the International Day of the Girl Child with this year’s theme being “End Child Marriage & Invest in Girls’ Right.” This is not just a call to awareness, it is a call to action in the very spaces where decisions are made.

This weekend, we did just that. From the Meeting of the Panel of Experts convened by the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR), we contributed to shaping continental guidelines on the Right to Sanitation with a specific focus on women and girls. Ensuring that as Africa builds its frameworks, the girl child is not an afterthought but the centrepiece.

To the sidelines of the World Health Summit, where our team facilitated the Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR) Financing Dialogue, surfacing African exemplars in domestic health financing and building a constituency of institutions committed to protecting SRHR investments at the African Union level.

The rights of the African girl child will not be secured by declarations alone. They require financing, policy coherence, and sustained advocacy from those willing to show up again and again in every room that matters.

African Renaissance Trust remains committed to being that presence.

Yes @TheAR_Trust there must be COMPLEMENTARITY IN ACTION! Empowering the girl child is a shared responsibility. When families, schools, communities, governments, and development partners combine their strengths and resources, we create lasting change.
