Governor DeSantis GOES OFF on Vivek Ramaswamy.

โ€œHow bad did they beat Vivek like a drum? Now, part of that was Vivek, quite frankly. I don't know why they would have pushed him to be the candidate there.

My mom's from Youngstown. Ohio is a working-class state, very blue-collar. You know, Vivek, he's like a tech guy, did this Alzheimer's drug, and he wants to bring in people, foreign worker on visas.

That is not the type of person that's going to sell. And I know he shot himself in the foot. I know he did a lot of other stuff to make it a real landslide against him.

But even with that, it's like, you got to meet the voters where they are on some of this stuff. I think we would have done better in Ohio had we had a candidate that was more representative or more in tune with the interests of kind of these blue-collar people that make the backbone of Ohio. But they got blown out there.โ€

The cultural decline that will happen under Byron Donalds will be swift and poignant.

Be prepared for corruption at a level unseen even in Florida.

Itโ€™s going to be glorious watching these jerks actually live within their means.

No more $71 million gyms, $500,000 salaries or cold plunges.

Everything will be just fine.

Tallahassee promised tax relief. City halls must decide what stops getting funded.

State-projected annual losses in FY2028โ€“29 equal 30% of Palm Bayโ€™s FY2024 general fund, 25.7% of Davenportโ€™s and 25% of Deltonaโ€™s.

Police and fire generally consume about half a cityโ€™s general fund. Protect them, and the shortfall falls entirely on the other half unless replacement revenue is raised. Against that budget baseline, those losses equal 60%, 51% and 50% of everything else: roads, drainage, parks, libraries and inspections.

Growth brings revenue, but also people who need services. Beginning in 2029, the exemption grows with inflation while service costs keep climbing. You cannot spend the same growth dollar twice: replacing lost revenue and serving new residents.

Raise fees, and residents pay another way. Cut services, and they feel it another way. The campaign promised savings. The budget will name the consequences.
