Last year, I was proud to vote for the Working Families Tax Cuts, which became law last summer. This historic legislation prevented the largest tax hike in American history, delivered new tax relief for workers, families, seniors, and small businesses, and put more money in the pockets of hardworking Arkansans.

My team and I recently enjoyed visiting Calvary Academy in North Little Rock, touring their new gym, and hearing a wonderful performance from the student choir. I also had the chance to quiz students on their favorite Founding Fathers and discuss the importance of civic engagement as we celebrate America's 250th anniversary!

The Summit at Chenal Valley in Little Rock is doing great work helping Arkansas seniors get the care and support they need.

I stopped by recently to see for myself. Residents Lola and Bill Hall were kind enough to show me around, and it was great to hear from residents about life at The Summit, the friendships they've made, and what they enjoy most about living there.

Visits like this give me a better understanding of the needs of older Arkansans and the challenges they face, which is important in my work in Washington.

Every year on October 28, we recognize National First Responders Day and honor the brave men and women across Arkansas and our nation who run toward danger, answer the call in times of crisis, and put their own lives on the line to protect others.

To our firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, paramedics, 911 dispatchers, and all emergency personnel, thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to keeping our communities safe.
