Our political differences should never overshadow the principles that unite us as Americans. The freedoms we exercise every day were secured by generations of men and women who put service to country above self.

You work hard, buy a home, raise a family, and build a life. You shouldn't have to worry about being taxed out of it.

Georgia is providing qualifying homeowners with a one-time $18,000 reduction in assessed homestead value to help lower property taxes.

That's not an $18,000 check, but it's meaningful relief. The American Dream should be easier to achieve, not harder to afford.

Hall County neighbors, a quick reminder as Veterans Day approaches!

On Wednesday, November 11, county administrative offices, courts, libraries, and the landfill will be closed in observance of Veterans Day. Compactor sites will remain open, and essential public safety and public works services will continue.

As we make plans for the holiday, let us remember why we observe it. Our veterans answered the call to serve, sacrificed time with their families, and stood ready to defend the freedoms we hold dear.

God bless our veterans, their families, and the United States of America! 🇺🇸
