Tonight, a gunman targeted the White House Correspondents Dinner attended by President Trump. I am grateful Secret Service took action before he could do any harm and I am praying for the officer who was injured. I will continue to work in Congress to demand accountability and support additional resources to protect President Trump. It is long overdue to reduce the temperature of our politics.
