Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley

IT'S OFFICIAL: The House has passed our extension of TPS for Haiti.

This win wouldn't be possible without the strength & organizing of our movement to defend our Haitian neighbors.

To those in the #MA7 & beyond, this is for you.

The Senate must pick this up without delay.

Our new Democratic majority must meet the moment.

That means holding Trump and Republicans accountable, defending our democracy, & moving aggressively to deliver the responsive policies the people deserve.

Massachusetts Seventh, I'm ready to do just that.

For too long, people from every walk of life have screamed into the void wondering whether their elected leaders hear them, see their pain, & would fight for them.

Democrats have an opportunity to heed their calls.

We must use our power and deliver on their mandate.

When Democrats have the power, we have to use it.

Universal childcare. Paid leave. Medicare for All. Abolishing ICE.

No more incrementalism or moderating our aspirations.

We need to do the work of repair, restoration, and reconstruction.

Trump is elevating a literal white supremacist who is the architect of his cruel, callous agenda.

The same agenda that the people overwhelmingly rejected at the ballot box.

We'll fight their hateful policies at every turn & hold them accountable for the harm they have caused.
