The results are in: private schools that participate in the voucher program perform better on ILEARN. Hispanics & Blacks score higher as do kids on the free & reduced price lunch program. @WileyBetsy @BBrownIndy @SecJennerIN @scottbessindy .@edchoice

Happy to respond. If we want a more civil society, which we do, then we want all children to be educated. It doesn't matter where they are educated but that they are educated. We spend too much time focusing on the where, erroneously thinking that we can lift all boats if we put everyone in the same boat.

@Foxfire_Wisp @RobertEnlow Not as hard as responding to the point made, apparently.

I know i'm not telling you something you don't already know, but we have been spending significant money on traditional schools for a long time with very little to show for it.

Foxfire @Foxfire_Wisp 2d

@RobertEnlow or maybe you could just fund public schools, make education great for everyone, and participate in making civil society something that rises all boats?

Great point @rpondiscio. Also, as to financial accountability of ESA programs, I can tell you where every dollar is going in every minute of every day. Are traditional schools that accountable.

Fine by me. BTW, how's your local school district doing? And your state's public schools? Since accountability is correctly so important to you, you're surely paying careful attention, right?

Great question. EdChoice has seen 15 election cycles since we opened and two things remain true: there is always another election coming and we always have to fight hard for parents. Sometimes we are in super defense mode like we will be in TX and AZ and sometimes we are in attack mode. The fights remain the same only the states change.
