Passing the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act is key to lowering costs for American families and getting back to building in our country again.

We’ve worked around the clock, across the aisle, and with both chambers of Congress to strengthen this legislation and increase support. Countless organizations and stakeholder are backing BAAJA because it unlocks America’s potential and we must move it forward on Monday.

Proud to announce that the @SocialSecurity Administration has agreed to open a temporary office in Logan while plans move forward to build a permanent replacement for the office that closed this spring due to structural issues.

We are deeply appreciative of SSA leadership for working with us to provide this much needed relief to the people of Logan and surrounding communities.

Our broken federal permitting system is costing American manufacturers $12.1 billion every year—including $87 million in additional costs in WV alone. The Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act would finally let these projects move forward efficiently and would save our manufacturers $4.2 billion annually.

American needs to build again. Passing BAAJA is a no brainer.

Deeply saddened by the passing of former Senator and Governor Jay Rockefeller. Jay dedicated his life to serving West Virginia and our nation, leaving a lasting legacy. He was always a true gentleman who treated me with respect, kindness, and encouragement. Over the years, we developed a wonderful friendship that transcended politics, and I will always be grateful for that. Above all, Jay loved his family. Charlie and I are keeping Sharon, their children and grandchildren, and the entire Rockefeller family in our prayers.
