Senator Ben Ray Luján

New Mexico’s name dates back hundreds of years, long before the United States even existed. It carries generations of history, culture, and rich traditions that continue to shape who we are.

We are New Mexicans. We’re proud of our name, proud of our home, and we’re keeping both. Long after Donald Trump is out of office, we’ll still be New Mexico.

President Trump and Congressional Republicans took food out of the mouths of hungry children, families, seniors, and veterans. They chose to make hunger worse in America rather than end it.

I’ll keep fighting to protect and restore our nation’s food programs. And we’ll continue holding you accountable for the priorities you choose, Mr. President.

Americans made their voices heard loud and clear this week. They want accountability, an end to corruption, and public servants who put the people they represent ahead of their own interests.

Let’s get to work.

Stephen Miller is the architect of some of the worst and most dangerous of the Trump administration's policies. He should have been fired a long time ago.

Now he’s going to have to go up against one of the strongest Democrat majorities in the Senate and House in recent history. You will be held accountable.

Sending all of my prayers and well wishes to my friend and colleague, @ChrisMurphyCT. I am relieved you are responding to treatment and that it was caught early. Much love, brother, and I know you’ll be back on your feet soon! Stay strong.
