SignalPlus Reimburses All 23 Affected Users in Full Within 72 Hours: US$81,897 in Total
Since identifying the anomalous activity on November 4, SignalPlus has contained the issue and completed reimbursement to all 23 affected users within 72 hours. The total affected amount was US$81,897.

Immediate coordination and protective measures
Upon discovering the anomaly, SignalPlus notified all partner exchanges immediately and proposed the suspension of every associated API key as a precautionary measure. We worked closely with our exchange partners to implement those suspensions, while simultaneously suspending the affected platform services and initiating a comprehensive security review.
These measures were applied to every associated account, irrespective of whether anomalous activity had been found on it. Despite the meaningful business disruption this entailed, we prioritized the security of user assets above all else, and that swift action allowed the incident to be contained in the shortest time possible.

Reimbursement Completed in 72 Hours Through Exchange Partner Coordination
While the security investigation was underway, we simultaneously contacted all affected users and carried out the verification required to begin the reimbursement process. Our prompt and direct communication channels allowed us to reach every affected user quickly, and full reimbursement of US$81,897 to the 23 affected users is now complete.
We are grateful to our partner exchanges for responding immediately to our notification and committing the resources needed to implement the API suspension we proposed. We also appreciate their efforts in communicating the preventive measures to users through their official channels. Finally, we thank our users for their patience throughout the incident and remediation process.

Security hardening and service restoration
The SignalPlus team remains focused on the ongoing investigation and on applying further security reinforcements. These include strengthening API access requirements, implementing IP whitelist verification, and further tightening employee device security and internal access controls.
Services will be restored progressively once the system review and security upgrades are complete. We will publish the restoration schedule and user instructions through our official channels as soon as they are confirmed.

TL;DR: In the early hours of Nov 4, SignalPlus was targeted in an attack that began with a compromised third-party Telegram account, affecting a small number of accounts without IP whitelisting.

We detected and contained the intrusion quickly. As a precaution, we immediately worked with our CEX partners to revoke all SignalPlus-linked API keys and temporarily paused our terminal services.

Total losses are under US$82k, and all affected users will be reimbursed in full.

We expect to bring services fully back online over the next few days. Updates and user instructions will be shared through our official channels.
