Texas Prep Softball Coaches Association

I've been rebuilding the Playoff History pages this week. Moving from visible spreadsheets to a webpage with searchable links for brackets, state championships (with team rosters), State Tournaments, Playoff appearances (total and streaks), plus a School Playoff History Page (years, scores, playoff round lists by year, all-state tournament teams)

I'm moved the playoff brackets from 1993-1997 to the website and will be adding the rest in the next few days.

Go see what I have done so far and let me know what you think here or at coach.hicks@texasprepsoftball.com

You can go to texasprepsoftball.com and click "Playoff History Page" from the top menu, or use this direct link.

Went to check out some fall HS ball for the first time this school year and what do I see right away.... two parent coaches arguing and almost throwing punches on the field.

Let's do better.... these are scrimmages to get the players used to playing together and getting better.

Happy National Coaches Day to all of our wonderful and hardworking coaches!! Thanks for all that you do to make our sport and student-athletes the best they can be on and off of the field.

TAPPS Schools
I'm trying to figure a way to have either a TAPPS poll or a Private School poll during the season. I don't know if we have enough to do a full poll for each division or put everyone together (maybe do a large and small private school poll).

I'm missing a lot of private school emails and I'll send an email tomorrow and post a link to the directory spreadsheet to X for help.

Look for an email from me tomorrow or let me know your opinions at coach.hicks@texasprepsoftball.com

UIL 1A Coaches,
You have asked me to do what I can to make sure when we do our coaches poll during the season that 1A has its own poll.

Right now there are 11 interested coaches.
Region 1 - 4
Region 2 - 3
Region 3 - 3
Region 4 - 1

Check and see if you received my email about the poll interest and fill out the form if you want to join in... with about 80-85 schools playing, if we can get 4 voters from each region, that would be perfect.

I know that most of you are doing 2-3 sports and are really busy, but you don't have to do anything until the season if you volunteer.

Email me at coach.hicks@texasprepsoftball.com if you didn't get an email from me with the form link
