8 times I took over a Basketball Program to build it up. Sometimes during those stops, I had to start over again because:
🔹A drop in talent after graduation
🔹Different sizes & quickness of new team
🔹A rebuild with a young group

I am a happy camper tonight as I am “camped” in front of the TV watching college basketball finally.
For the 4th year in a row, I am watching Florida & their Offense with 3 Bigs & running game.
Duke looks interesting again, Big and Deep.
Saw UCLA too - they look decent.

Five lessons I learned about coaching basketball from my high school coach, Al McFadyen, many years ago.

1. Don’t be afraid to build with youth. Keep an eye to the future.

2. Do something a little different than the other teams in your league.

At my recent meeting with Dave Daily at Hudson Bay, Canada, he explained the 5 lines of a Dog Sled team, which I found had a lot in common with Basketball.🏀

Lead Dogs-2- your captains
Point Dogs-2- the point guards
Team Dogs-4- heavy load pullers
Wheel Dogs-2- toughest, focused
