Never underestimate AMD's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I'm actually quite proud of myself for figuring out how to make this hex pattern bool flow with the handle shape and keep a consistent depth.

I duped the main shape, reduced its size, used it as a cutter on the hex bool, and then used that result to cut the main shape.

Much closer to what I want! Though it revealed a separate problem 😆 Lighting at the seam between the halves is jumping around, prob due to the z-fighting, so I need to increase tolerances between them slightly.

Setting up another render at 256 samples. Also made some changes to the IOR, roughness, depth, and scattering. About to go to bed, so will see how this looks in the morning!

Another transmission test for some translucent plastic. Used 64 samples just to have it render faster so it's a little flickery as a result. But I think I'm getting closer
