This project was so much fun and really a full circle moment. I got connected with the OE team through projects using NLP for medical education. Really excited to have this as a kicking off point for new ways to support learning throughout training and practice

Grateful to innovative medical school institutions, boards and medical educators who are helping @OpenEvidence to build Learn for lifelong learning across a clinician's entire career! 😍📚 Kudos to our MD team led by @TravisZack2 working with our killer engineers @reese_green99, for building this for doctors, by doctors. 🩺

OpenEvidence makes it easy to get an evidence-based answer. But the answer is only part of it. The harder skills are knowing what questions to ask in the first place, and understanding WHY that answer is right and how it applies to the patient in front of you.

Today we are announcing OE Learn: a platform built for medical education at every stage of training and practice. We’re launching with three tools:

1. Test Prep: a board-style question bank, including image-based questions, spanning USMLE, COMLEX, and specialty and subspecialty boards.

2. Preceptor: a Socratic tutor for case-based learning, tuned to your level of training.

3. Flashcards: spaced repetition mechanisms built on the questions you’ve already asked @OpenEvidence so the answers become a lasting part of your knowledge.

In the next phase, we'll add opt-in adaptive learning tools that gauge your proficiency across topics and suggest what to study next, and eventually what questions you should be asking.

What else would you like to see on OE Learn?

Introducing Learn, a free, personalized medical education platform from OpenEvidence, built to support trainees and clinicians across their entire careers.

As AI changes how doctors work, it matters just as much that it strengthens how they learn.

Clinicians have made OpenEvidence an everyday tool at the point of care. Now we apply that same technology and those same principles to how doctors learn medicine. Developed with leading medical institutions, certifiers, and educators, Learn brings together a suite of tools built on OpenEvidence so every trainee and clinician gets a tailored, evidence-based learning experience.

I agree!!! Especially past iterations of our ddx model wasnt trained to help prioritize, and instead just lists "to rule out x, do y" @MondiraRay is a physician scientist on our team actively working on this. More to come that will both narrow to the evidence based next steps and even request the most pertinent pieces of missing information to help us do that
