UMKC

Our city, lit up in our colors 💙💛

Thank you to @KansasCity, @UnionStationKC and @ChildrensMercy for lighting up in Roo Blue and Gold for Kansas City's College Team! We're proud to call KC home.

What an awesome Roo Blue Friday! The UMKC community rallied on the @kcstreetcar all the way down to Municipal Auditorium and watched some incredible basketball on our stunning home court. @KCRoosWBB and @KCRoosMBB picked up a pair of wins, giving the crowd a ton to cheer about 👏

Kansas City showed up in a big way for our Roos and we can't wait to see everyone at more games throughout the rest of the season! Roo Up!

Nobel Prize-winning physicist Kip Thorne explored the science behind “Interstellar” with a sold-out audience at UMKC’s inaugural Chancellor’s Distinguished Lecture last night. Thank you to Thorne and all who joined for exploring the universe with us!

Candi Whitaker is back at UMKC, and the Roos roots run deep on her coaching staff.

Among Whitaker, Sandra Abston and Chayla Cheadle, their UMKC connections include coaching histories and family ties. Together, they’re building the next chapter of Roos women’s basketball: umkc.edu/news/posts/202…
