Recap for Show Me The Money

Finished pool play at Show Me The Money yesterday afternoon. Opened with a 4-0 shutout, with pitcher Autumn Adkins throwing the 6 scoreless innings, giving up 1 hit, with 12 Ks and only 1 BB. Catcher Hayden Hudson was behind the plate. The next game was a close loss, final score 6-5. We led most of the game but were unable to come up with the win. Last pool game was a 7-2 loss. Really good pitching from Peyton Cockerham (6 IP, 7 hits, 1 ER) and some timely hitting, including a 💣 from Ashtyn Blood. We hurt ourselves with some miscues on defense but made adjustments and came out strong this morning at 8 am.

Picked up a win in our first bracket game, 10-6. Lost our 2nd bracket game on the final play to a very good RI Thunder team - score 2-1. Strong pitching performance from Avery Clark (5 2/3 IP, 4 hits, 2 ERs, 10 Ks and 1 BB) and solid defense.

We are very proud of the girls. We continue to face strong teams and improve. Keep working - if there is no struggle, there is no progress.
