Yes, Virginia workers should be able to afford to live in Virginia.

That's why it's so egregious that Fake Moderate Spanberger sent our power bills soaring with her RGGI & VCEA scams.

Democrats' "affordability" hoax just gets more and more insulting.

If you work full time in Virginia, you should be able to live in Virginia.

You should be able to keep up with your rent or your mortgage, fill your medications, and save for your kids’ futures.

That’s why we are raising Virginia’s minimum wage to $15 an hour. We’re investing in our workforce and our neighbors who power our economy.

🚨Statement from RPV Chairman Jeff Ryer:

“On behalf of the Republican Party of Virginia, congratulations to Representatives John McGuire, Ben Cline, and Morgan Griffith on winning re-election.

“Over the past two years, these leaders have worked tirelessly to deliver major victories for working Virginians, including securing historic middle class tax cuts and ending Democrats’ border invasion. We look forward to continuing to support their efforts to lower costs and create more opportunities for the people of our commonwealth and our nation.

“Rob Wittman has served the people of America’s First District with dedication and distinction for nearly two decades. He has been a consistent advocate for our military, our veterans, our jobs, our local communities, and our families throughout his tenure. Congress and Virginia will sorely miss his extensive experience and expertise.

“Jen Kiggans has been an outstanding leader for Virginia, too. Representing the commonwealth’s ‘swingiest’ district for the last four years, she earned a reputation for bipartisanship and working across the aisle to deliver positive results for the families of Hampton Roads and Virginia.

“Disappointingly, voters have elected one representative who has embraced the agenda of the extreme left and another who amassed one of the most partisan voting records in Congress during her two terms. Republicans will be back two years from now to gauge voters’ satisfaction with their choices.

“I also extend the thanks of Republicans to Bert Mizusawa, Edwin Rivera, Robert Murray, Doug Ollivant, Tony Sabio, Dave Beckwith, and Arthur Purves. Running challenging and hard-fought races, they represented themselves and our party with integrity. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to enter the political arena, and they have earned our sincere gratitude for their valiant efforts.

“Finally, I would like to thank the dedicated Republican Party of Virginia staff and our thousands of volunteers. Facing two general elections in a single calendar year, an unconstitutional referendum in April and the November contests, they have sacrificed much to advance our party and its nominees. In particular, our local Republican Committee Chairmen and the members of the State Central Committee have remained indefatigable throughout a challenging year.

“While we did not achieve every victory for which we hoped, I am heartened by the passion and determination of every Virginia Republican who made their voice heard this year. Because of them, the flame of liberty still burns brightly in the Commonwealth.

“A new effort is already underway to win back the Virginia House of Delegates and the Senate of Virginia. Over the past year, we have seen Virginia’s radical left governor and extremist General Assembly Democrats break every ‘affordability’ promise they made to voters. They created burdensome new taxes and drove up energy costs for Virginia families, while putting our communities at risk through their open borders ‘sanctuary’ agenda and soft-on-crime policies.

“They must be held accountable. We will work every day between now and November 2, 2027, to ensure they are.”

Virginians have made clear that they DO NOT want higher taxes.

But that’s exactly what Virginia Democrats are doing - even after Republican leadership left them with a historic surplus.

Democrats only know how to do two things: TAX and SPEND!
Across the state, 47 localities put the sales tax measure before voters, and just 15 approved it. richmond.com/news/state-reg…
