A nurse tries to trap Matt Walsh on abortion, demanding to know why he’d force a 13-year-old to give birth to her rapist’s child.

Then Walsh asks him one medical question, and the nurse wants to run away.

NURSE: “Why do you believe that a 13-year-old should be forced to give birth to their rapist’s child?”

WALSH: “I don’t think that it is ever okay to kill a child.”

Then he flips it.

WALSH: “You’re the medical expert. The unborn child, is that a human being or not?”

NURSE: “That is a religious question.”

WALSH: “It’s not a religious question. It’s a medical question. What is it if it’s not a human being?”

NURSE: “Medically speaking, we don’t consider it a full-fledged human being.”

WALSH: “What do you mean full-fledged?”

Instead of answering, the nurse pivots: why don’t we have “conception certificates”? Or “a heartbeat certificate”?

Walsh even agrees to the heartbeat certificate. But he keeps coming back to the one question.

“Is the unborn child a human being or not?”

Eventually, the nurse tries to bail.

NURSE: “I appreciate your time.”

WALSH: “No, no, no. Come back. Come back here.”

“You’re the medical expert, and you won’t even tell us what a human being is. I’m starting to get concerned.”

[crowd laughs]

Then Walsh sums it up:

“You have one side that can answer directly. It’s never okay to directly and intentionally kill a human child. That was my answer. I think I gave it probably 15, 20 times.

“And then you have the other side that has no answer at all to this question. What is a human child? Can’t even answer it.”

The nurse knew the answer. That’s why he left.

Ron DeSantis takes another shot at Vivek Ramaswamy and questions why we even allowed him on the debate stage in 2024.

DESANTIS: "Why is he on the stage? What did he do to be on that stage? Like, nothing."

"Honestly, his business was this Alzheimer’s drug that didn’t work."

“He bought it. It failed two clinical trials... He goes out and pumps it. Stock goes up. I mean, no one got better off this."

Vivek went on to lose the governor’s race in red Ohio to Democrat Amy Acton by 8 points after an ill-advised attack ad sent his campaign into a spiral.

DeSantis says Vivek proves the GOP needs to do a better job vetting candidates before giving them the time of day.

Caleb Hammer catches a socialist spending at Disney and Amazon after she spent the entire episode dunking on “big evil” CAPITALISTS.

She had just argued that corporations don’t pay their fair share.

Then he opens her City Card, and it gets ugly for her fast.

HAMMER: “Since your Disney trip, you know they’re a billion-dollar company. You know they get lots of tax benefits, right?”

SOCIALIST: “Yeah. My sister works for Disney.”

HAMMER: “Big evil capitalist Disney. Was that to Disney?”

SOCIALIST: “Yes.”

HAMMER: “Champagne socialist. As always.”

“You know you people are the most hypocritical people. I’d say people on the far right are really annoying. The people on the far left are hyper hyper hypocritical.”

“Evil corporations capitalist, and then you just give them all your money.”

“And Amazon, weren’t you just hating on that warehouse that delivered that to you?”

SOCIALIST: “Yeah.”

HAMMER: “It’s a shame they’re able to get there on that two-lane road to your house.”

SOCIALIST: “I don’t shop on Amazon very often. But if I do it’s—”

HAMMER: “Who cares?”

SOCIALIST: “I can’t find it around me.”

HAMMER: “No, live your principles. You’re cheap principles. I have no real moral backing other than performative and virtue signaling.”

Socialism in the mouth, capitalism in the cart.

Bill Maher and Coleman Hughes finish each other's sentences for 3 minutes straight as they lay out how teachers' unions wrecked public education.

The MS NOW host thought she could sit this one out quietly. Then Maher turned and lobbed a grenade right at her.

MAHER: "The reason why they don't know that socialism didn't work... is because NOBODY taught them in school."

HUGHES: "A lot of kids go to underperforming public schools, which is our euphemism for government-funded daycare centers with occasional school-like activities."

MAHER: "I knew they weren't learning anything, but like you said, it's like a daycare center and not a good one."

HUGHES: "And I think people on the left want to blame funding because that's the easy issue. But the truth is, this school was well funded. You know, it's 50,000 per pupil at this school. The problem isn't the funding. It's that you can't fire anyone bad."

MAHER: "Yes.... The problem is the union, the teachers union, is too powerful. We've seen it in results in states where the union is less powerful, the schools do better."

HUGHES: "I call it the chalkboard mafia."

MAHER: "The problem, the unions protect bad schools and bad teachers, and the party protects the union. It's almost impossible in a lot of these cities to fire a teacher. I mean literally like you could sell drugs to a kid and it's got to be two offenses before we get—"

HUGHES: "It wasn't that long ago that the unions lobbied for a law in New York State to ban even collecting data that you would use to assess which teachers are better than others. You can't even get the data. So obviously the teachers union serves the teachers, they don't serve the students, and if you're a Democrat or any American that's serious about public school reform, you have to challenge the teachers union, period."

MAHER: "And I think in this school, where they were learning nothing with no supervision and absentee principals and teachers, I think spending 50,000 dollars per year per student, it's not money. That's what you always hear from the left. 'Oh, it's underfunded.' It's not the funding. The funding isn't the issue."

HUGHES: "No, it hasn't been for a very long time."

MAHER: "I think this is the kind of thing I will NEVER hear on MS NOW."

ALI VITALI: "I think you hear a lot of perspectives on MS NOW."

MAHER: "I don't ever hear that one."

CONTEXT: Maher and Hughes aren't making this up. On the latest Nation's Report Card, high school seniors posted the lowest reading and math scores ever recorded on the test.

And getting rid of bad teachers is nearly impossible. Federal survey data shows the average school district dismissed just 0.2 tenured teachers for poor performance in a year. That's roughly 1 in 500.

Meanwhile, students do better long-term in states where unions have less power.

A 2019 study in the American Economic Journal found that boys who went to school in states that forced districts to bargain with teachers' unions went on to earn about $2,100 LESS per year as adults compared to boys in states without those laws.

If a business failed this badly, someone would get fired. As Hughes put it: "The teachers union serves the teachers; they don't serve the students."
