Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is an urgent health threat. When medicines stop working against infections, common illnesses become harder to treat and routine medical procedures become riskier.

#AMR affects every country, and every sector has a part to play. Join @WHO's regional launch of World AMR Awareness Week 2026, โ€œ#OneHealth, one action: Prevent AMR now.โ€

Participants will learn what countries in the Western Pacific report in this yearโ€™s Tracking AMR Country Self-assessment Survey (TrACSS), hear country experiences from China, Fiji, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Tonga, and see how the results can guide practical action to prevent AMR.

National AMR focal points, health workers, policymakers, partners and anyone interested in AMR are encouraged to register.

One in four adolescents worldwide are not active enough.

That is around 240 million young people aged 11โ€“17, who are not getting 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity on any single day of the last week. Only 14% reported being active on all seven days.

Every young person deserves opportunities to move, play and thrive.
