🇺🇸 Next WPRC NYC Session 🇺🇸

RSVP: luma.com/5f4ucacx

📝 @UniswapFND v4 Hooks
📅 Nov 11 (Wednesday) | 6–8 PM EST
📍 29 Nassau Ave, Brooklyn, NY
❤️ In collaboration with Open Note Labs

Topic: What if developers could customize how an exchange works without changing its core protocol?

Discussion:
- We're revisiting Uniswap V4 Hooks - smart contracts that execute at specific points in a transaction.
- From dynamic fees to custom accounting and new market-making mechanisms, Hooks allow developers to program how liquidity pools behave.
- But how much flexibility should an AMM offer, and what new risks does that introduce?

🙏 Thanks to Open Note Labs for collaborating on this session

I was recently affected by the layoffs at @0xMiden, and I’m looking for my next Product Manager role in the Bay Area.

I’d love to keep building in payments, especially stablecoins and agentic payments.

Over the past few years at @0xMiden and @0xPolygon, I’ve:

• Led a crypto wallet from scoping through launch to reach 20k user registrations, coordinating a seven-person team across engineering, design, and QA.
• Worked with roughly 12 external ecosystem partners, translating their requirements, feedback, and integration blockers into roadmap and release priorities.
• Built and launched AggLayer’s developer portal and sandbox, with tutorials and code examples to help developers get started.
• Researched zero-knowledge infrastructure and develop the Chainless Apps framework, connecting technical research with practical use cases for developers.

Working on a crypto wallet made the practical challenges of stablecoin adoption much clearer to me: how people bring funds in, move them across networks, and actually use them.

I want to keep working on those problems, including how AI agents will make payments.

I’ve also been building an offline, on-device LLM app and AI-assisted workflows for team syncs, product feedback, and moving GitHub issues through implementation. I’m comfortable getting into the code as well as owning the product.

If you know PM hiring managers at @Stablecoin, @stripe, @Visa, or other teams building payments infrastructure and AI products, I’d really appreciate an introduction!

And to my teammates at Miden and Polygon Labs: thank you. I’ve learned a lot from building with you, and wish you all the best!

The HK Fintech week was rather underwhelming for crypto folks. In the main event in HKCEC, 50% payment 40% tradfi (hsbc, boc etc) and just 10% crypto firms. Somewhat shows the trend of how fintech has evolved over the past year. but tbh I think the main event has always been a waste of time, side events are king.

Just wanted to point out the side event I enjoyed the most, Hong Kong Virtual Asset Regulation hosted by @WPReadingClub @Mr_Gorilla_eth @ChingChaLong02 .

Event started with a silent whitepaper reading session, one from @HKDAS_official and one from @MungLegal . Both shared great insights to the licensing, regulations, and case study for digital assets in hk.

@Mr_Gorilla_eth @chingcha then started sharing about which crypto ecosystem was subject to which regulating body (SFC, HKMA or SEHK). Also noting the $200M rug-pull by JPEX in 2023 as a major turning point to tighter AML restrictions. Of the 13 licensed virtual asset firms, none were making a profit and most were sitting idle perhaps waiting for acquisition or turnaround in policy citing kyc/aml and security costs were too high. Also, retail in hk only has trading access to 5-6 of the largest tokens, which is not attractive enough for users on major CEX to come over.

Also went over redcoin, the recent hk stablecoin issued by @HSBC accessible by the bank's payment app, payme, which has 3.3 million users. The current iteration of redcoin does not bring any commercial value but we'll need to wait until better local merchant adoption, or in the further future, cross border payments. Also compared this with other non-usd stablecoins like europe EURC, which was usable in defi rails like aave and morpho, giving the token more overall utility.

@MungLegal went over the case study for new tokenization projects in hk, such as HSBC gold token, but shared that the liquidity and infrastructure was not ready for retail users. Another interesting project was the first approved real estate RWA Delin Tower. It is an interesting project but limiting it to only professional investors makes just a pilot scheme rather than a true commercial project. Fun fact is they are the first hong kong blockchain law firm and @SBF_FTX was in the exact same room for events at the time when they were still in hong kong during the early days of ftx.

Overall insightful and educational event, suggest to join if they host again.
