.@washingtonpost reports a new joint Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania study finding data centers have "only a small effect on residential electricity prices."

Data centers were responsible for "just 4 percent of the utility rate increases over the last five years."

**Weak Connection Between Data Centers & Overall Electricity Prices**

"Multiple studies by different researchers and organizations have failed to find a strong connection between data centers and the overall trajectory of U.S. electricity prices in recent years."

This week brought a lot for investors to digest, and plenty for those of us building AI infrastructure to reflect on.

Monday, the debate centered on AI spending and when investors would see returns. Infrastructure takes years to build, and its economics need to be assessed over that horizon. We’re already beginning to see those investments pay off.

Tuesday was a blue sweep. Calling it a referendum against data centers gives our industry too much credit. Voters had broader concerns, and questions about power costs, water and community input crossed party lines. My read: communities want opportunity and partnership, not an end to development.

Thursday, as reports of capacity delays drew scrutiny across the industry, $CORZ reported nearly 60% sequential growth in GAAP colocation revenue, with 485 MW billing under our CoreWeave agreement. We also addressed election-related concerns directly: we continue to expect currently contracted capacity in Georgia and Texas to remain on schedule for delivery through 2027 and 2028.

$CORZ closes the week with growing revenue, construction underway and our contracted delivery outlook unchanged. Our job is to keep executing.

Responsible development starts with working closely with our Texas communities. That’s our approach at $CORZ, and we look forward to continuing that work with Governor-elect Hinojosa.

Texas Governor-elect Gina Hinojosa: “It is not that I hate data centers. I hate the way they are taking advantage of Texas”

Asked whether data centers still have a future in Texas:

HINOJOSA: “Right. Well, we have always been a pro-business state in Texas. But what changes now with me as governor is it has to be a partnership that benefits Texans. And right now what has happened is data centers have moved into mostly rural communities and there are no rules and laws to protect Texans and Texans are being taken advantage of. So the difference is we will have laws to protect Texans and we need to stop what we’re doing with data centers until we have those protections. We can have a strong economy, strong industry and protections for the people of Texas. Those things are not mutually exclusive, and I’ll make sure as governor I lead to ensure that that happens.”

TAPPER: “So you’re not ruling out that data centers will be able to be built in Texas, it’s just you want there to be regulations to protect communities, is that right?”

HINOJOSA: “And that communities have a seat at the table to decide if and how these data centers come into their communities. Texas is like a country. We are so diverse in all the ways. Different communities have different needs. And those communities have to be able to walk away from the table to leverage what they need for their community. So absolutely, we need to make sure they are partners in this effort. And that has always been my position. It is not that I hate data centers. I hate the way they are taking advantage of Texas. And that stops when I’m governor.”

Buying opportunity. AI infrastructure takes years to build, and returns take time to develop. I believe AI will drive substantial productivity gains and economic growth. That’s the long-term thesis.
