Neil Druckmann confirms there are two projects in very early stages that will expand the canon of The Last of Us beyond Part I and Part II.

@TheLastofUsNews As much as I love Abby and Ellie, I do kinda hope that we'll see stories about completely new characters unrelated to either of them. A story about some survivor(s) down south could be pretty interesting since that region of the US is still largely unexplored in either game.
