👀 Meccha Chameleon has sold over 5 million copies and is still the global top seller on Steam — ahead of Counter-Strike. Banking $20M+ in under 10 days on a two-month dev cycle is a darn good return. And with the press and influencer attention it's pulling, that sales figure will only keep climbing. It's currently within the top 10 most-watched titles on Twitch.

It's the latest co-op success story, this time from a solo Japanese developer who goes by Lemorion.

A quick look at our data: the US is the dominant market, and playtimes are rather short — around 75% of players land in the 1–5 hour bucket (~2.6h median). On affinity, the crowd overlap heavily with Gamble With Your Friends, Super Battle Golf, RV There Yet?, PEAK, R.E.P.O., Schedule 1, and Mage Arena.

User reviews are 80% positive, which is respectable but a little lower than other top-selling co-op games. On semantics, the core positives are gameplay (creative, social, addictive) and value (that $5 price point). The negatives cluster around UI/UX — menu design, a broken friend-invite system, and map-clipping exploits where players hide inside objects, walls, and out-of-bounds areas hunters can't reach hiders. English reviewers also flag toxic behavior more often, and more intensely, than other regions.

1.5M+ est. DAUs the last two days, and sales are still accelerating day by day. Impressive stuff.

🧟‍♂️ Resident Evil: Requiem is off to a record-breaking start, delivering one of the biggest launches in Capcom history, perfectly timed for the franchise’s 30th anniversary.

Today, Capcom announced 5M units shipped in just five days, making it the fastest-selling title in franchise history. As shown in our visual, the game is tracking well ahead of prior entries and is positioned to generate substantial long-tail sales for the franchise in the years ahead. Huge congrats to Capcom for doing what they do best, pure quality.

💫 This will go down as one of 2026’s most acclaimed and biggest releases. Capcom continues its 2026 slate with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection next week (currently #16 top-selling in Japan), followed by PRAGMATA, which already has an est. $1M+ Steam pre-orders and ranks 16th most anticipated on the platform, also selling especially strongly on the PlayStation Store in Japan.

March is turning into a feast for gamers, with heavy-hitters like Crimson Desert, Slay the Spire 2, and Marathon lined up next.

💫 StarRupture is the best-selling title of the year so far (first 20 days), followed by Quarantine Zone: The Last Check. The game launched to a $15.99 introductory price and is complemented by two add-ons: a Supporter Pack ($3.99) and a Soundtrack ($1.99).

While many publishers are well aware of the revenue potential of launch perks, StarRupture is a reminder of just how willing players are to spend a few extra dollars on perks when they like a game. According to @alineaanalytics DLC estimates, the Supporter Pack achieved a peak attach rate of ~55% to the base game shortly after launch. Per this weekend, more than 150,000 Supporter Packs had been sold, on top of the 500,000+ Base Copies, generating approximately $500,000 in additional low-effort revenue.

In total, StarRupture has generated close to $9 million in revenue within two weeks of release, with nearly 1 million wishlisters still waiting to be notified of future discounts, as per Alinea Analytics wishlist estimates.

👨‍🚀 ARC Raiders confirmed 12.4 million copies sold this morning, approximately 2.5 months after release. A remarkable achievement!

For comparison, PUBG reached 10 million copies sold around 5.5 months after its 2017 release, before later becoming synonymous with the battle royale genre and moving free-to-play. ARC Raiders achieved this milestone while launching alongside Battlefield 6, which makes the performance particularly notable.

Congrats to Embark Studios and Nexon!

💫 Creepy Jar just kicked off 2026 with the EA launch of its highly anticipated new title, StarRupture, following the massive success of Green Hell, which went on to sell over 9 million copies worldwide cross-platform.

Creepy Jar’s stock (CRJ:WA) has now popped 50%+ YTD, in the first days of 2026, following the release of StarRupture.

Here’s @alineaanalytics estimates leading into the performance:

Built in Unreal Engine 5, StarRupture released Tuesday afternoon as the 31st most anticipated upcoming title on Steam. The early December playtest performed strongly, with 93% positive reviews and 6.5K+ peak concurrent testers. Adding 700K+ launch wishlisters to this, as per Alinea Analytics estimates, things looked good heading into launch, and post-release performance has largely held up, with the game now sitting at a Very Positive 83% user rating.

This build-up has translated into an estimated nearly 200K copies sold as of yesterday, at a discounted launch price of $15.99 (-20%). StarRupture is still sitting among the global top 5 sellers on Steam. The Supporter Pack at $3.99 also seems to have performed very well, with an estimated 50% of the current player base picking this pack up, according to Alinea Analytics DLC estimates.

CCUs peaked yesterday at 28K at roughly 20:00 CET, and with today’s afternoon peaks (15:00–16:00 CET) closely matching yesterday’s levels, new highs could be reached as early as this evening or over the weekend. The title is regionally strong in US, China, Germany and Poland.

👥 From an audience perspective, over half of StarRupture players have previously played Satisfactory, with strong affinity to crafting and base-building titles such as Foundry, Forever Skies and Lightyear Frontier, as well as space and exploration games like Jump Space, Space Engineers 2 and Planet Crafter.

Congratulations to @creepy_jar for kicking off 2026 in style!
