Base Power

@Walmart has spent more than 60 years helping Americans save money and live better. We built Base to do the same for home energy.

Today, Walmart and Base announced a strategic agreement and investment in Base. Starting Monday, Base’s energy products will be available at participating Walmart and Sam’s Club locations.

We’re excited to announce our partnership with Central Georgia EMC, deploying 50 MW of residential battery storage across the cooperative’s service territory. It’s our first utility partnership outside of Texas.

The program gives @CentralGAEMC a networked fleet it can dispatch 24/7, adding local capacity to support the grid. Members get automatic whole-home backup for $95, with no additional monthly costs.

Base Core started with one goal: reliable, affordable power at home. Episode 2 goes inside the engineering and design behind Core, and introduces the people who built it.

Delivering affordable, reliable power takes engineers, and we want to hire the next ones here in Texas.

The Base Power x AITX Talent Hackathon runs September 25 to 27 at our Austin headquarters. For 48 hours, we’re inviting engineers into our office for a weekend of heads down building.
