The only reliable way to stop Iran from having a nuclear weapon is to stop Iran from wanting a nuclear weapon. Which probably means long overdue regime change.

I thought we were going to pull that off but we didn’t.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 The U.S. could BOMB Iran's Pickaxe Mountain

The problem: Nobody knows exactly what's inside.

The underground complex near Natanz is believed to sit at least 80–100 meters beneath rock, considerably deeper than Fordow.

Israeli intelligence reportedly believes Iran moved thousands of advanced centrifuges and components there after the June 2025 war. But there's no public confirmation they've been installed, let alone that enrichment has resumed.

And actually destroying the facility is another question.

America's 30,000-pound GBU-57 bunker-buster can penetrate hardened structures, but its effectiveness depends heavily on the surrounding geology. Even at Fordow, the full extent of underground destruction remains uncertain.

The much-discussed MOAB wouldn't solve that problem either. It's designed for massive surface-level blasts, not penetrating deeply buried nuclear facilities.

But here's the bigger issue.

Pickaxe Mountain is NOT Iran's entire nuclear program.

Even if Washington destroys it, Iran could still have centrifuges, nuclear material and equipment dispersed across other locations.

The strikes of 2025 severely damaged Iran's declared enrichment infrastructure. They did not establish where everything that survived ended up.

Destroying another mountain won't necessarily answer that question.

There are a handful of great engineers still stuck at GE, Pratt, etc who yearn to move fast and reinvent how engines are made.

Proud to be offering them refuge at Boom—and the opportunity to do the best work of their careers. One more accepted just this morning!
