The Financial Times is reporting that BC Partners is set to drop its bid to invest into LIV Golf 2.0 due to lack of player commitments. The next bankruptcy hearing is tomorrow when more details will become public. The PIF is expected to liquidate the remaining assets.

Jon Rahm reacts to winning his first DP World Tour title since 2022:

“It means a lot. Still almost not letting myself believe it, you know. It's been quite a while since I've played good in a DP World Tour event, and I think if we don't count the withdrawals, I think I finished last. So from last to first, pretty good feeling.”

He was then asked if this win was significant because it was his first since leaving LIV Golf:

“Yeah, one can say that. One can say that. After everything that's gone on, and some poor play and some battles mentally, right, with a lot of noise, to come back out after a bit of rest and being with the family, it's quite special. I only wish they were here to celebrate with me. She's going to wake up, Kelley, I love you.”

It could be a huge 2027 for Jon Rahm.

Two crazy potential implications to Jon Rahm’s win in Abu Dhabi. He now has a chance to win the Race to Dubai title if he wins next week at the DP World Tour Championship. And, he’s also guaranteed to finish in one of the top ten spots for a PGA Tour card, although he is currently ineligible.

In his first event since leaving LIV Golf, Jon Rahm shoots rounds of 65, 67, 66 and 67 to win the Abu Dhabi Championship by 2 shots over Tyrrell Hatton. It’s Jon’s first DP World Tour win since 2022 and the 25th worldwide victory of his career and it’s a record 6th Rolex Series title.
