7. Why am I building Aristotle?
I was born and raised in one of the most underfunded school districts in the US.
But I was lucky to have Indian-American parents that made sure we had tutoring. I graduated top of my class and went to Stanford.
Kids at Stanford grew up with billionaire parents paying for private tutors and weekend test prep since middle school.
Today, those Stanford classmates are wealthy, working top jobs, and starting successful families.
A lot of the kids I sat next to at Clark were betrayed by the system.
AI has the power to be the great equalizer, but without the right tools it will blow that gap wide open.
The frontier labs don't want to do this they are sprinting towards enterprise software, finance, and defense contracts because there's more money there.
If anyone is going to build the tools that actually teach kids, it is going to have to be us.
