Later this month, Oscar Murillo will debut Frequencies at his upcoming David Zwirner exhibition, Unfinished Thinking: Paintings and Social Maps.
The project is the result of more than a decade of work: an archive of 21,319 images of drawings by children worldwide.
The more I’ve spoken with Oscar, the more I’ve come to understand that Frequencies embodies the thread that’s run through his work since childhood.
This thread explores how the project came into being, how it has evolved, and what happens next. We’ll use it as a repository for everything Frequencies, past and future.
