Awesome? Terrifying? Lucrative?

The legal economy is changing fast with AI, MSOs and legaltech Unicorns. The business of law is where it’s at.

@nehalm and I are teaching a foundational course on “Law as a Market” next year at @pennlaw where both of us attended before Biglaw, and before multi-decade journeys into legal businesses as investors, operators and advisors.

We want YOUR help (yeah YOU!) on how to make this class amazing. Please comment, and we promise to read it!

These robots are freeloaders who don’t seem to be doing any work at all!

Just a tiny glimpse of what's coming in the late 2020s.

A massive wave of humanoid robots is about to hit the world, and most people have absolutely no idea how fast things are about to change.

Millions, eventually billions (2030s), of additional workers building homes, factories, infrastructure, entire cities, and eventually even settlements on other worlds.

Working 24/7, accelerating construction, manufacturing on an unprecedented scale.

The age of abundance is coming.

i grew up playing simcity (one of my favorite games of all time), & if you told me i could zone land for data centers which require a massive capital investment into my city, could have enormous tax revenue, they could be extremely clean (depending on energy), there is minimal or no traffic, they could be aesthetically tolerable, & nothing like heavy industry which is pollution central, i’d think i was about to build the richest fucking city in the world. i’d go absolutely ham & build as many data centers as i could possibly fit.

& yet, here we are, with people fighting tooth & nail to keep them out. which means the debate isn’t about the data centers at all.

Damn!

“In the first quarter of last year—[Anthropic] pulled in $376m of revenue. By the second quarter of this year that figure had risen 30-fold, to $11.6bn, surpassing corporate mainstays such as McDonald’s or 3M.”
