we are big fans of @axios, who gave us a huge welcome when the team was in dc

honored to host cofounder @roylschwartz and hear about @AxiosHQ. was inspiring to see the newsroom in action
MTS @MTSlive 1d
Axios cofounder @roylschwartz says Fortune 500 executives are worried AI is creating more work for employees instead of making them more productive:

"Work slop, right? The problem is everyone now has access to AI. They're writing longer emails."

"They're writing more reports. They're doing more presentations, and then they're sending it out to all of their colleagues."

"Everyone feels like, 'Oh, I'm gonna sound great. I'm gonna sound super smart, and I'm gonna use AI to make my point.' And so everything just gets longer, and unfortunately, in the short term at least, more complicated."

"We've talked to CEOs, executives at Fortune 500 companies, and their biggest worry right now is AI slop and it creating more work for their employees."

"A report that gets generated using AI that might be twice as long as it needs to be."

"Information now has to be presented in a way that's far more efficient than ever before."

night show with @being_on_line x @schisofrenia jamming on media theories, ai, art and music
MTS @MTSlive 1d
Sofia Puccini points out a surprising generational divide in music:

Older musicians tend to be pro-AI, while younger musicians are anti-AI.

"There's a weird thing where older musicians who are kind of aged out are more pro-AI, and then a lot of the younger musicians are super anti-AI."

"I feel like the older musicians find it's a way to stay relevant."

Ruby: "People really disliked Auto-Tune. What T-Pain did with Auto-Tune is that it wasn't to voice correct. It became in and of itself an instrument."

"AI-enabled technology isn't in service of making an output. It's not to make an image, it's not to make a video. It's to build new tools with which we can now make new things in the future."
