Four photographs left in Ethereal.

I have never been interested in creating photographs simply because they are beautiful. Beauty alone has never been enough for me.

I want an image to make someone feel something, even if they cannot quite explain what it is.

That is the idea behind this collection. 9 photographs, 9 moments that made me stop and look a little longer.

We were driving through Iceland and pulled over in the middle of nowhere. From the road it was a nice view, nothing more.
Then I sent the drone up and the whole place changed: turquoise rivers cutting through black ground, and one lonely road crossing all of it. I’d been standing right there a few minutes earlier, with no idea any of that was under my feet.
It made me think about how many places like this we walk past without a drone, not because they’re hidden, but because from the ground there’s no way to see them. Most of the landscape we’ve been through, we’ve only seen the part that fits at eye level.
How many of these places have I walked right past?

Is choosing kindness over being right a sign of wisdom, or are there times when being right matters more?
