NOTION-3 Trial PCI in Patients Undergoing TAVI, PCI assoc with ⬇️ risk of composite ☠️ from any cause, MI, or urgent revascularization but
benefit seen mainly in elderly (mean Age 81)
Asymptomatic 40-50%
Lower PCI Risk: SYNTAX Score of 9( MVD only 20%)
PCI performed Pre TAVR in 74%, during/post TAVR in 26%
Balloon expandable TAVR valve used in 42%
Benefit mainly due to revasc, Why not tailor PCI for symptomatic patients after TAVR? That might save most elderly patients from unnecessary PCI, bleeding & DAPT bit.ly/3z19kOE
