FYI: YouTube is updating the recommendation system to further prioritize original Shorts and reduce the reach of channels primarily aggregating or re-uploading other creators’ clips without significant changes
YouTube’s goal is to connect viewers with videos they find genuinely valuable and ensure creators publishing original content have the absolute best chance to grow and succeed
If you just love another creators’ video and want to get it in front of your audience, share it on your channel’s post tab, so everyone can watch the original
If you’re inspired by another creators’ clip and want to remix it or use it as the launching point for your own work, make sure you're adding real, distinct value all your own
Not just VO descriptions of what’s happening on screen, minor technical edits, or template-based bulk changes.
Bring your unique perspective, vision, commentary, analysis, and story telling to the conversation - craft your own, original content that will give you the absolute best chance to grow and succeed.
