Blue whales are so cool.

We are 50 years into a ~150 year journey to restore the population.

Dear Californian legislators,

everyone is excited about the blue wave.

I have some bad news. California blue wave broke decades ago. It has become a stagnant tidal pool since sometime in the 70s.

All the problems in our state are problems we created.

With a blue wave in the rest of the country, we no longer have the fig leaf of blaming the national political establishment.

California voters will stop caring about your political virtue signaling about how terrible trump is. He’s a lame duck.

Get back to governing the state and taking ownership for the problems we created.

Best time to have stated was decades ago. Next best time is today.

Here’s my scorecard. How many home get built per year.

It’s simple. Its objective. It addresses the greatest crisis in our state. Affordability.

Get to work.

Dear blue wave,

Congrats on an epic win. The public is frustrated.

They want affordability. They expect you to deliver.

You have a choice.
- spend trillions subsidizing demand
- spend zero liberalizing supply

Demand subsidies are better politics and better headlines.

Supply liberalization is boring headlines and often very unpopular.

Choose wisely and good luck.

VC is changing. That is exciting!

VC is young. “Seed fund” concept is even younger. Of course future will be different.

Don’t get caught up on the labels. Be glad so much is happening. Embrace it!
