Really special to hear Dr. Jim Allison speak at AANS this past weekend. I still remember first reading about his and others’ cancer immunotherapy work (Science “Breakthrough of the Year” in 2013) as a freshman in high school—it sparked my fascination with the immune system and ultimately drew me to pursue immunotherapy research at MD Anderson as a @RiceUniversity undergrad. Incredibly inspiring—and so humble.
