Israel is blocking temporary shelters and essential reconstruction materials from entering Gaza, deliberately making life there unbearable and the entire place uninhabitable.

So what exactly do you want Palestinians to do? You want them to leave Gaza? Fine. Open the crossings and let them leave.

Oh, but wait. That would be called forced displacement.

Israel wants Palestinians out of Gaza, while the rest of the world refuses to open its borders to them. Yet those same countries have no problem watching two million people suffer, day after day, in conditions no human being should ever have to endure.

So Palestinians are not allowed to rebuild their homes, not allowed to live in dignity, and not allowed to escape. What exactly are they supposed to do? Stay there and suffer until they die?

People in Gaza are suffering so terribly that they wish for death a thousand times a day, just to be free of this endless nightmare.

And the world watches. The world debates. The world makes excuses.

And nobody gives a damn.

sadly, in my experience richer people are typically the most miserly & tightfisted; it's poorer people who are the most generous 🫤

The difference between me asking rich celebrities and other rich people to help with money for Gaza families, and people in Gaza asking me for money to help them is that the rich people actually have the money.

I don’t šŸ’”

like genuinely. I’m entirely financially dependent on my family at this point in my life (don’t need to explain why to anyone), and entirely reliant on donors to send me funds to help the families who need help.

I feel helpless.

I’ve sold possessions to raise funds. I’ve practically begged on behalf of the families depending on me. I plead for them everyday. I bring up my fundraising with every person I talk to in case they could potentially become a source of funds.

I don’t know what else to do expect pray for a miracle.

Really wish some rich person would happen to see this post, check my account and find my fundraising work credible and transparent, and reach out and offer to help with a massive amount that could simultaneously cover the needs of every family dependent on me. Maybe typing all this and putting out there will bring about a much-needed opening.

Ultimately, relying on Allah.

from day 1 of the genocide the clear aim of the occupation has been to deliberately homeless-ize the population of gaza. until the wider world has the motivation & guts to disable the occupiers, or until the occupiers implode from within, it's hard to see how things will change.

If you care about Palestinians, demand the entry of mobile homes into Gaza.

The world must force the jewish occupation to allow shelters in. Before the most vulnerable, the babies and the elderly, start dying from the cold. For the third year in a row.

Caravans into Gaza. NOW.

"What more must happen for this world to act? How much more suffering must people endure before someone remembers that they are human beings?"

I admit that I completely broke down today. I cried uncontrollably. I couldn’t hold myself together after witnessing what I saw with my own eyes.

Today, we went to film a journalistic report inside the displacement tents along the seashore. I swear, what we witnessed was beyond what any human being should have to endure.

I saw men crying bitterly. Men I had never seen cry when they lost their children or when their homes were destroyed. Today, I saw them crying because they were powerless to do the simplest thing: protect their children from the water and the cold.

We spoke to families who told us they had spent the entire night carrying their children in their arms after floodwater covered the floors of their tents and soaked their mattresses. They couldn’t find a single dry place to put their children. They couldn’t even give them a few hours of sleep.

I saw children no older than five, without proper clothes to protect them from the cold, without heating, and without a dry place to sleep. Children shivering inside tents that cannot keep out the rain, protect them from the wind, or provide even the most basic sense of safety.

What more must happen for this world to act? How much more suffering must people endure before someone remembers that they are human beings?

I am sick of this world. I am sick of its hypocrisy and empty slogans. To hell with a world that talks endlessly about human rights while leaving children to drown inside their tents. To hell with everyone who has witnessed this suffering and chosen silence, and to hell with the governments and institutions that have the power to act but continue to turn their backs on us.

from fall 2023, it was clear that the goal of the genocide was to homeless-ize the housed. having worked with homeless folks here in the City for decades, i knew what the health outcomes would be

Imagine yourself here…
Imagine standing in this spot, living here for three whole years…
Without a roof over your head, without shelter, without the bare necessities to live with dignity.

This isn't just a hypothetical scenario… This is the reality for our people in Gaza right now.

With the first rainfall, their tents were flooded, and their sleeping quarters were submerged… And winter hasn't even started yet… It's still just around the corner.

This is what the people of Gaza are going through.
They are all facing the rain and the cold without any protection, and what's coming next will be even harsher and more severe.

Don't forget them… Don't leave them alone in the storm. šŸ‡µšŸ‡ø
