Apple has built its brand around minimalism, so perhaps it should be no surprise that incoming CEO John Ternus's first corporate communiqué was a terse one.

Posting to X, he said, "hello," and nothing else. Yet, at 488k "likes" and counting, it beats even Jack Dorsey's "just setting up my twittr" — famously the first ever post on the platform, which currently sits at 308k.

Google is integrating Google Flights functionality into AI mode, and it's unlikely to stop there. It's clear that the search giant wants ever more of every transaction to take place within its own interface, leaving companies with the choice of surrendering control to Google or allowing it to direct sales to rivals who have made that compromise.
