Has Hyatt lost its crown as the best hotel program in points and miles? 👑

Between this year’s award pricing changes, with some nights now costing up to 75,000 points, and both Chase and Bilt cutting their transfer ratios to 4:3, it’s been a rough stretch for Hyatt fans.

Katie’s take: yes, it’s a bit of a devaluation, but it’s more of a course correction. Hyatt was just too good for too long, and it couldn’t last forever.

And 75,000 points sounds like a lot until you remember that top Hilton and Marriott hotels can run 100,000 to 110,000+ points per night. Point for point, World of Hyatt points are still the most valuable hotel points out there.

The bigger shift: Hyatt is no longer the automatic answer, which makes this a great time to give Marriott, Hilton, and IHG a second look.
