Anyone telling you we didn't lose on Tuesday is not worth your attention.
They're either lying to you or lying to themselves, and neither is useful right now.
Being wrong before an election is one thing—I was. I ran the numbers, I thought we were okay, and I was wrong.
However, being wrong AFTER the election is a choice.
Both chambers. Texas. South Carolina. MISSISSIPPI?!
You don't lose like that because of one bad news cycle or a messaging problem. You lose like that because the operation is broken.
We're not okay.
But there is also opportunity:
The old guard GOP just got wiped out on a national level.
The people who ran this party into the ground don't have the seats anymore.
They have consultants, donor lists, and the same playbook that just failed. Smart consultants who have been ignored for years should finish the job on the Republican consultant class.
Completely excise the tumor that just cost donors hundreds of millions of dollars and lost everywhere.
That's a once-in-a-generation opening to take the party and actually make it work.
So anyone who tries to install more of the same failed leadership should be removed. Not criticized. Not "held accountable." Removed.
Clean house top to bottom: party leadership, committee chairs, the people who control the money.
All new people.
We've got about six months before the 2028 cycle locks in: recruitment, primaries, infrastructure. Miss that window and we lose 2028 too.
I'm not gonna sit by and let that happen. I’m getting back to work.
