DARPA

The DARPA Triage Challenge Systems Competition Finals are officially underway!
At Disaster City in College Station, Texas, teams are competing with autonomous aerial and ground systems designed to help first responders locate casualties, assess injuries, and prioritize care.

Building in zero gravity? ✅
Autonomously? ✅
With simple engineering principles? ✅

Our NOM4D program, with @Caltech, has demonstrated the first automated assembly of a structure in space, marking a major milestone in how we design, build, and operate beyond Earth.

The future of trauma care starts with predicting what comes next.

On Nov. 13, we will name the $1 million DARPA Triage Challenge (DTC) Data Competition winner. Hear from @shocktrauma experts at @umms on how predictive tools could help patients get the right care faster.

The RACER program keeps proving what autonomous systems can do on the battlefield. We ran the first space-to-tactical ground autonomous experiment that detected, tracked, and engaged simulated threats, all while keeping humans in control.

A 50-year-old hypersonic mystery, tackled. High-impact energy and machine learning technologies, achieved.

Hear how 20 years of our Young Faculty Award helps bold ideas soar on Ep. 98 of "Voices from DARPA."
