This was indeed something we only learned about when digging deeper. Our school books did not discuss this in depth but it’s something widely reported in contemporary literature. Horrific ideologies always brainwashed humans to voluntarily do horrific things, to devalue the life of others and eventually their own. All the radical movements, Nazism, Communism, religious fanaticism are essentially the same. It’s sad to see that our youth - brainwashed by TikTok and Instagram - is now being led back in time.
