But Seaver’s return was miserable?

Seaver’s record was just 9-14, but at 38, he still led the team in innings pitched (231), ERA (3.55), FIP (3.77), and WHIP (1.24). 

The Mets scored two runs or less in 15 of Seaver’s starts that season, in which he posted a 0-12 record. 

Seaver allowed two runs or fewer in 15 of his 34 starts, and allowed only three runs in eight more starts. 

He has 11 no-decisions that year, posting a 3.26 ERA over those games.

Not looking forward to going to the dentist later today. Nope, not even a little bit.
