Those with onchain allocations and compensation deserve to have professional, regulated, financial guidance.
Most crypto employees are told how many tokens they will receiveView quoted post on X
Far fewer are given a framework for what happens next
- When do the tokens vest?
- When are they taxable?
- Is anything being withheld?
- Where will they be held?
- Is there enough liquidity to sell the desired amount without materially affecting the price?
- How much should remain exposed to the token?
- What happens if the employee loses access - or if something happens to them?
- How does this wealth help pay taxes, buy a house, fund education or create long-term financial independence?
Token compensation is not simply another line on a pay statement
For some employees and early contributors, it may become the largest financial asset their family owns
That is why in addition to the @bloccelerate Founder Summit, I'm meeting with crypto companies in New York this week about employee education and individual planning around token compensation
The goal isn't to tell everyone to sell
It's to help people understand what they own, what decisions are approaching and how those decisions connect to the rest of their lives
If your company provides token compensation - or you personally receive it - let's talk soon
Send me a message if you’d like to talk.
