Yesterday, Minister @nsanzimanasabin received Jérémie Blin, the European Union Ambassador to Rwanda, for a courtesy meeting.

They discussed the Rwanda–EU health partnership and opportunities to strengthen cooperation on shared priorities.

Today, Minister of State @YvanButera visited Bio Usawa's newly constructed facility in Kigali, hosted by its President and CEO, @DrMenghis to review progress in the local manufacturing of monoclonal antibodies and other biologics.

The visit highlighted efforts to expand access to advanced treatments, from eye care to cancer, while strengthening Rwanda's pharmaceutical manufacturing capacity and bringing quality medicines within reach of more people across the region.

Rwanda has published its first national Climate and Health Vulnerability and Adaptation (V&A) Assessment!

It shows how climate hazards affect Rwandans' health, where communities and the health system are most at risk, and what to prioritize to build resilience. It gives policymakers the evidence to guide planning and investment for a climate-resilient health system.

Developed by the Ministry of Health with national institutions and partners through the National Climate and Health Technical Working Group. We thank everyone who contributed.

Today, Minister of State @YvanButera met with board members and eye specialists from the Vera Ahlemann-Schoeller Foundation and formalized a partnership to train more specialist doctors and technicians for eye health in Rwanda.

The partnership will expand learning opportunities, strengthen faculty capacity, advance simulation-based learning and improve access to essential equipment, so that quality eye care reaches every district across the country.

After 115 kidney transplants performed in-country, Rwanda is now embarking on liver transplantation.

Minister of State @YvanButera met Prof. Dr. Hamdi Karakayalı, Director of the Liver and Kidney Transplantation Center and Chief Physician at Acıbadem Atakent Hospital, together with the Acıbadem Healthcare Group delegation from Türkiye.

They discussed working together to build liver transplant capacity in Rwanda, including training Rwandan specialists so that more patients can receive this life-saving care at home.
