This will piss off a lot of people, but the war had a huge impact on these midterms. It was not the sole reason, but it did play a part. Do-nothing Republicans in Congress also played a part. The American people gave leadership to the GOP in the hopes that it would allow President Trump to do all the things he ran and won on, they stopped him at every turn. The American people wanted President Trump to focus on THIS nation, he allowed himself to get distracted by Iran. I personally felt he should have spent his first two years focused solely on this nation and tackle Iran after, many I know felt the same. What I will never understand is how anyone who lived under 4 years of Biden could hand the reins back to the lunatic Democrats, but here we are.
