Want to waste 6 months fundraising?

Follow popular advice without questioning it.

Chase 100 NOs.
Perfect your pitch.
Push for a check.

Wrong.

Find relevant investors.
Create interest.
Keep improving.

Relevant NOs teach you something.

Random NOs are just noise.

Most founders look at fundraising the wrong way.

Raise capital. Get back to building.

But the real value may be communication.

Every pitch teaches you to explain, listen, question and adapt.

Fundraising eventually ends.

Communication never stops paying off.

47 years of wisdom erased with a single Sharpie.

Turned 47 today and had a “deep” plan for a post.

7 things I wish I knew in my 20s (yuck).
4 experiences and 7 lessons (real plan).

A Barista made it very simple.

Live. Laugh. Love.
